WWTP at Umm Al Quwain has been constructed with the daily capacity of 5800 m3/day to treat the domestic wastewater generated in Umm Al Quwain.
The WWTP is located at the border between Umm Al Quwain & Ras Al Khaimah. The process implemented in the WWTP is SBR (Sequence batch reactor) where wastewater is transported to the treatment plant by tankers. The treated raw sewerage is used for irrigation, landscaping and other applications.
The generated sludge is dumped at the local landfill.
