Eagle MBR Baha Site Visit by the Minister of Water and Electricity, Saudi Arabia
The Minister of Water and Electricity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Eng. Abdullah Al Hossein, recently visited the first Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) in the Baha region. The plant is in operation since November 2012 and was designed and built by Saudi Eagle Environmental Contracting Co LLC, the sister company of Eagle Electromechanical CO LLC of the UAE having 15 plants: 69,200 m³/d Awarded MBR Plant Capacity.
The visit coincided with the Minister’s visit to the Baha region to discuss the strategic plan for Water and Electricity. Eng. Ali Al Mutlaq, the General Director of the Drainage Department of the Ministry of Water of the Baha Region, Eng Mohammad Al Odhaidh, General Manager of the General Directorate of Water of the Baha Region, and Eng. Ahmad Al Qurashi, Deputy General Manager the General Directorate of Water of the Baha Region and Eng. Mohammad Al Zamil (National Water Company) were also present.
Mr. Rami Hijaz, the Regional Manager of Eagle, who attended the visit, commented that the end of the year call emphasizes the attractiveness of the MBR technology as one that can pave the way for the future to safeguard water as a valuable reusable resource.
Mr. Mohd Hijaz, General Manager of Eagle, added that the opportunities in the region are very significant, and opening the door with a high-class operating plant that was executed in less than 6 months will garner yet further awareness of an important product that can meet sustainability ambitions of the region within a very small footprint.
